Map My Ranch Partners and Affiliates
As you may know, Map My Ranch has teamed up with many businesses and product leaders in the hunting and outdoor community to create various partnerships over the last fifteen years. We have developed very successful cross promotional marketing campaigns, product placement opportunities, advertising exchanges, and product testing/review opportunities (to be featured in the "Son of a Blitch" podcast episodes, as well).
George Blitch, co-owner of Map My Ranch, is the team leader with our Partnership Programs. He has over 20 years in Marketing and Business Development experience, has owned and co-owned a handful of companies, been a Multimedia Manager for two large marketing firms, the Content Creator and Brand Designer for nearly a dozen companies, a professional writer and videographer, owns a publishing company, and hosts the "Son of a Blitch" podcast.
If you feel we can mutually benefit from a Partnership Program with your business, please send George your information and related links to research at: [email protected] or call 713-302-2028.

Sharing The Land
60 percent of land in the United States is privately owned. Nearly a quarter of that private land is owned primarily or leased for hunting. As access seeker numbers increase, so does the need to increase private land access. At the same time, the need for game and land management by communities is apparent. Land ownership requires a portfolio of labor, skills and knowledge. It's with this spirit that we invite landowners and access seekers to connect for the purpose of stewarding and enjoying healthier lands together.
If you ask Doug Duren about where Sharing The Land came from, it was born out of a need to prevent wear and tear on his soul. Attempts to restore historic oak stands had been faltering due to local deer herd sizes, given their browsing preference for oak saplings. This project, combined with local CWD prevalence (also population related), lead him to the conclusion that reductions were needed. After taking eight deer himself in a season, he felt more like an exterminator than a hunter.
A continual reader of Aldo Leopold, Doug was familiar with the Riley Game Cooperative, and its proximity to the farm along with its understudied historical nature, meant it was a quick leap to begin implementing similar processes for the benefit of the property.
By inviting hunters who had contributed to conservation practices, he not only improved the property, but engaged people about carrying that work forward elsewhere, while reaching harvest goals and sharing the value of that hunting experience. Watch this video below to learn more about Sharing the Land and the origin of the idea...

onX Maps / onX Hunt
onX Hunt is the #1 Hunting GPS App!
"The onX Hunt App was founded by hunters and built for hunters. We exist to enable you to discover more hunting opportunities, provide the richest and most innovative mapping experience possible and inspire the confidence to go farther than you thought possible because you know exactly where you stand no matter where you find yourself. We strive to preserve outdoor recreation opportunities for future generations by protecting the land access we have and advocating for more."
We've always been massive fans of onX Maps and their incredible apps! The team at Map My Ranch has used onX Hunt for a long time now, and we often train our customers on how to use it, to give us the location of the custom points they want us to label and put on their printed maps.
Map My Ranch and onX Hunt already had some connections as we are both sponsors for Doug Duren's "Sharing The Land" project, and we've both worked with some of the same individuals and companies in the Outdoors Industry...it always felt like a matter of time before we would cross paths and see how our synergy might grow into a Partnership of some sort.
Well, that day is finally upon us! We had some amazing conversations with Jared Larsen, who is a Marketing Manager with onX, and their team has decided to offer some onX Hunt "Elite Memberships" for free to our clients for 3 months!
We'll be training our clients on how to use the app and the desktop versions, so they can hold the power of onX Hunt in their own hands, and customize whatever it is they want to have us design and print with our high end aerial imagery. Having a tool like onX is extremely valuable, for so many reasons.
We highly encourage you to check out the other onX Maps apps, aside from onx Hunt. They also have onX Offroad (Off-Road Map App - the most trusted off-roading and snowmobiling app to discover nearby trails, plan and track your trips, and get home safely.)
and onX Backcountry (See why onX Backcountry is the ultimate GPS navigation app for your outdoor pursuits).
Thank you, onX Maps, for making such an amazing apps, and for helping to add another layer of benefits for our customers! I know they will all greatly benefit as a result!

MONTANA KNIFE COMPANY
Map My Ranch's very own George Blitch recently interviewed Josh Smith (Co-founder & Master Bladesmith for Montana Knife Company) on the "Son of a Blitch" podcast, and the two took a journey throughout Josh's timeline - from being the youngest Journeyman Bladesmith at 15, to becoming the youngest Master Bladesmith in the world at just 19 years old, and then being one of the most sought after custom knife makers. In 2020, Josh and his business partner, Brandon Horoho, quit their day jobs and went all in, with the launch of Montana Knife Company. They have made it their goal to become the best knife makers in the world. And if you ask us, they are achieving that goal!
"In the last two years, Montana Knife Company has been fortunate to grow beyond what I could have imagined, gaining recognition throughout the hunting community and the country.
As a result, you may think we're a huge company with dozens of employees running a complicated operation. In reality, we're just a small group of hunters and fishermen creating American-made tools that help us do what we love.
We design with hunting in mind, and we build reliable tools that last. We're passionate about making affordable, high-quality knives that serve the needs of real working people."

Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation
Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation is an wonderful organization, and Map My Ranch is proud to promote and share their incredible initiatives. The major programs of the OSCF are the ""Fill a Bag While Filling Your Tag", the "Come With" program, and "Hats for HATS". You can learn more about these by visiting this link, here.
Be sure to follow @OutdoorStewards on Instagram to keep up with their latest news!
OSCF uses research-based communications and engagement programs to recruit the next generation of Hunters, Anglers, and Target Shooters (HATS); and promote the fact that HATS are primary funders and stewards of land, fish and wildlife conservation in America.
"Fill a Bag, While Filling Your Tag™"
America’s 60+ million active "Hunters, Anglers, and Target Shooters (HATS™)" spend more time out of doors than any other group. They go deep into nature and find solace in the outdoors. Something else they find while outdoors is other peoples’ trash.
Being primary funders and stewards of land, fish and wildlife conservation in America, HATS are making Outdoor Stewards of Conservations’ "Fill a Bag, While Filling Your Tag™" program one of the fastest growing grass roots efforts to take trash out of nature.
A true consortium, this program works with manufacturers, retailers, conservation groups and state wildlife agencies to distribute light weight biodegradable bags to HATS across America and asks them to fill a bag with trash they come across while participating in hunting, angling and target shooting.
With a goal of 100 tons of trash removed annually, nature never looked so good thanks to HATS. This, first-of-its-kind, national conservation engagement program fits in nicely with ESG and CSR standards. To learn more about how you can connect your organization with conservation, contact Jim Curcuruto (203) 450-7202.
"COME WITH!™"
COME WITH!™ - Organizations have spent millions of dollars over the past decade trying to determine the best way to successfully implement R3 which stands for; Recruiting new participants, Retaining current participants and Reactivating lapsed participants into hunting, fishing and/or target shooting.
By far, the most relevant findings from this R3 effort boil down to: 1) providing information to new participants and, 2) most importantly, having America’s 60+ million active HATS invite someone to “COME WITH!” them when they head to the range, water or woods.
OSCF’s COME WITH!™ R3 communication program provides Information on how to get started and works with active participants reminding them to Invite someone new to Come With them to help grow participation in hunting, fishing and target shooting.

It's hard to find anybody in the hunting industry today who doesn't agree that the Texas Trophy Hunters Association has, over the years, been nearly single-handedly responsible for restoring the quality of the deer herd in Texas, for securing and advancing the rights of hunters in Texas, and for helping revive the very sport of hunting itself. Try to find another "deer hunting association" that can honestly claim a track record like that! So, whether you're a member yet or not, if you hunt deer in Texas, you've already received quite a few benefits from the Texas Trophy Hunters Association. Precision Rifle Hunters
Precision Rifle Hunters L.L.C. is about improving rifle hunters’ abilities to make precise shots while zeroing their rifles, shooting closer than their zero range, as well as much farther distances than their zero range.
I began predator hunting as a teen, in the early nineties. After many years of predator hunting I wanted to have the ability to make precise shots beyond the 200 yard maximum I was comfortable with. I researched, through several publications and websites, hand-loading instruction, purchased equipment, and began making my own ammunition tuned to the rifle. That led me to researching the science of long range rifle shooting, the fundamentals of marksmanship, the proper optics, and the art of wind reading. I slowly began to attempt shots beyond the 200 yards I was comfortable with and worked my way out to 500 yards on steel and paper. I became friends with an accomplished long range marksman, and he helped me bridge the gap between 500 and 1000 yards. The first time I connected with steel at 1000 yards was a major feeling of accomplishment!
I decided the test my skills in competition. I began shooting “tactical practical” precision rifle matches. They are an excellent classroom to learn what weakness I had, and to show me the areas I need to improve upon. They also will force me to shoot scenarios that I had never thought of, really getting me out of my comfort zone. Those type of rifle matches are excellent to hone rifle hunters skills. They require every competitor to make precise shots from field positions, and under tight time constraints, the same as rifle hunting.
My goal is to share with hunters what I have learned in personal shooting practice, what I have learned competing in rifle matches, and what I have learned in the field. I am forever a student, and I look forward to learning more, and sharing those lessons with my fellow hunters that want to impove their skills.

Annealing Made Perfect
"Annealing Made Perfect" is the brainchild of father and son team Alex and Matt Findlay. Alex has extensive experience in the firearms industry. Matt is a qualified engineer and tool maker. As passionate reloaders, we are always striving for the ultimate in accuracy. Like most guys, we were vaguely aware of annealing brass, but always thought of it as "black magic”. Everyone had an opinion on how to do it, and no two opinions were the same. The more we looked though, the more we found that many of the very best shooters were experimenting with annealing as part of their case preparation. Frequently they were frustrated at the lack of consistency available with traditional methods.
Our goal was to produce a safe, reliable and totally user friendly induction brass cartridge annealer which would give absolutely repeatable results every time. After three years of R&D we have succeeded.
Of course, that was only half the challenge. What about the science of brass hardness? What is the correct way to get repeatable neck hardness, and for that matter, how do you even measure it? Try finding the hard science to that on the internet, as opposed to "informed” opinion. It didn’t exist. We decided to invest in significant metallurgy research.
